Opinion: Keep school crossings safe
Schools have returned for the 2017 school year so we have had an influx of children and young people using the roads to and from school.
Traditionally this has led to traffic issues around schools as students and parents get back into their routines.
The students operating the school patrols on the crossings at their schools are new and inexperienced so are often hesitant in operating the signs.
