Friday night at the Observatory
Nelson Astronomical Society is about to start it's winter public observing season. Most clear Friday nights until daylight savings we will open the Cawthron Observatory at Cliffton terrace School and for a small donation you can enjoy views through several different telescopes including our wonderful Celestron C-14 scope. This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
