YOUR VOTE REALLY DOES MATTER.

Mel from Stepneyville

The voting papers have now been posted out to you (if you are enrolled to vote). You have until 12 noon on Election Day 12 October 2019 to cast your vote.
This is what you do - select the candidates you wish to vote for on your voting papers, seal your pre-paid envelope and put your completed voting papers in a post box on or before 8 October 2019 to ensure they arrive by midday on 12 October. You can also drop your voting papers into one of the ballot boxes in at Council’s Customer Services desk or at the Nelson or Stoke library up to midday on Saturday 12 October.
IF YOU HAVEN’T ENROLLED YET?
Don’t worry, it isn’t too late!
You won’t get your voting papers sent to you in the mail, but you can request special voting papers from Nelson City Council’s Electoral Officer at elections@ncc.govt.nz or go in & see the friendly people at the Council’s Customer Service desk & they will help you.
IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR DETAILS ON THE ELECTORAL ROLL?
Any changes to the residential roll, such as name or address, can be made directly by telephoning 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 367 656) or by going on to the Electoral Commission website, elections.org.nz. You can also pick up a form at a NZ Post Shop, the Nelson Public Libraries or the Customer Service Centre at Nelson City Council.
Our democracy is precious.

Share your New Zealand music memories...

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It's NZ Music Month and New Zealand really has some beautiful songs from artists that we call our own.

Whether it's April Sun in Cuba, Don't Forget your Roots, or How Bizarre or Bic Runga's 'Sway' - songs have a way of unlocking memories and evoking old feelings.

In honour of NZ Music Month, share a New Zealand song or artist that is special to you and explain why.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

WANTED: Toy poodle/shit zu cross female unneutered puppy.

Louise from Nelson South

WANTED: Toy poodle/ shitzu cross female unneutered puppy for good home.
Not in any hurry, in fact if your dog is currently pregnant and you know the dad then that would be perfect. Then we can meet and you can decide if you trust me with your precious puppy and let me know how much you sell the puppies for. I was thinking $500 I mean I don’t know how much you usually pay for a pure bred crossed with a pure bred? $1000?? I am happy to negotiate what you usually sell your puppies for. I would like her at around 3-4 to have her own puppies just because I think it’s fair on her she will like it and then maybe neuter her after that or it could be too taxing on her body. Please call or text Louise 0276025945 or email louisemarychaney1@gmail.com
