A Texan BBQ food company wants to make Austin, Texas, a sister city of New Plymouth. New Plymouth mayor, Neil Holdom, said he "would be interested in becoming sister cities if it was what the community wanted".

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
