Heavy rain for north Taranaki
Met Service has announced this morning that heavy rain falls are expected about northern Taranaki, including the mountain, and a heavy rain warning is now in force for the area. Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
At 8am, Air New Zealand also tweeted that flights across the upper North Island could be affected on Monday morning.
People are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and warning in case other areas are added.
