Morning all,
Waikato's beleaguered SPCA branch is no longer under local control.
After closing in December, head office has stepped in and limited services are set to resume on Tuesday, January 31.
Let's hope they're up and running at full capacity again soon.

This one is pretty simple. You're a Neighbourly member so connecting with your community is obviously pretty important to you. So this tip is more of a challenge; this year (or this weekend!) make it your mission to meet someone new living near you.

Here's a few things you can do to get you started:
- use the Neighbours Directory to find neighbours on your street.
- introduce yourself on Neighbourly to those living in your neighbourhood. Just a few words about yourself and what brought you here.
- Give something away or sell something! A Neighbourly exchange gives you a chance to meet someone new.
- just head out the door and knock on someone else's!

Waikato District Council welcomes the government announcement that it will be rolling out a second wave of ultrafast broadband (UFB) to eight of its growing towns.
At this stage, Te Kowhai is not one of those towns.

Change in circumstance means Cous Cous needs to find a new home. She has been a loved member of a family for 5 years.
Already desexed, will be up to date with vaccinations and microchipped before leaving.
Cous Cous would like a quieter life, she wouldn't suit a home with children or bouncy dogs. She has lived urban and is currently living rural.
She has a cute half tail due to an accident with a greyhound when younger.
If you can offer Cous Cous a loving forever home where she can lounge around and be someone's good mate then please PM me and I will assist in rehoming with the current owner.
