Can you Help?
We are a group of ladies who make blankets, jumpers, hats, scarves and gloves for needy people in Moldova, Romania and the Ukraine. The need is very urgent as conditions there are extreme. We knit, crochet and sew all year round so are in constant need of fresh supplies. If you can help with wool (or acrylic) or material scraps suitable for quilting, we would love to have them. Odd balls and part balls of wool or acrylic are fine – we an use them for stripes etc. Please ring me on 021-057-0371 and I will arrange to pick up anything you can donate to our cause. Many thanks. Roadworks on SH1 between Hampton Downs and Rangiriri
From 7 to 18 December, there will be night-time closures on SH1 between Hampton Downs and Rangiriri (Sundays to Thursdays, 9pm to 5am) to carry out wire rope barrier maintenance. Please expect delays when travelling through this area.
