Sewing Course 5th & 6th May

Come on in 5th & 6th May right here in Hamilton and meet the lovely Lindsay Rae of Sew to Grow in a fabulous 2 day sewing course, where you will learn to make and tailor one of Lindsay's patterns to your individual shape.
Will you make the Noosa Shift, Sweet Sumertime Dress/Peplum or Bondi Top? What a choice!
When: Fri 5th & Sat 6th May 9am - 3pm
Where: St Stephens Church Hall, Tamahere
How much: $150 for the course, plus a pattern and materials.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
