Hi neighbours! Supermarkets aren't collecting soft plastic bags for recycling anymore, meaning the only choice now is for consumers to use reusable bags, such as the Boomerang Bags made by Plastic Bag Free Cambridge. Are you part of the movement?

Niwa is predicting very little rain over the next few weeks. This means for Morrinsville and other towns that water restrictions will be coming. It is a timely reminder to limit your use of water before it gets really bad. remember also to have a store of water in case of a breakdown. Civil defence recommends 3 litres per person per day for 7 days as an absolute minimum. This does not include water for sanitary purposes, don't be caught out. When water systems are under pressure it is often when they break down. Here in Morrinsville there has been significant investment in increasing the resilience of our system, and there is ongoing work into finding alternative water.
