I was fire and medical rescue on the day. The advertising campaign is insensitive to the meaning of the term and beyond that it gives no recognition to the ongoing campaign 'Black Lives Matter'. Maybe it is just me but if you are having a 'SALE' then advertise it as a sale and not some dark marketing theme that has no meaning other than enticing people to spend money. My thoughts are not necessarily the thoughts of my wife or others but every November I have to relive that dark day.

Whether it’s an elderly neighbour who lives alone to a family on your street working hard to make ends meet, reach out to someone who could use a little extra joy in their life and remind them what the holiday spirit is all about!
Other ideas include fundraising for a local charity, doing a food or toy drive, organising a ‘Secret Santa’ gift exchange on your street, giving a present to a neighbour who helped to make your 2020 better, or even host a community Christmas lunch.
