Poll: Where do you think the sculpture sits best?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Shifting a sizeable sculpture from Garden Place to Hamilton Gardens had an almost $28,000 price tag.

The steel and aluminium structure, Te Tiaho O Matariki, is 12 metres tall. It was commissioned by Hamilton City Council in 2011, when it cost rate-payers $110,000 (excluding GST).

Where do you think the sculpture sits best? Tell us your reasons in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
