2020 ACT Candidate for the Waikato Electorate

James from Flagstaff

Greetings neighbours,

Just a very quick post to introduce myself following the announcement of most of our candidates this week.

I’m a Hamilton local and live here with my wife and daughter. I own and manage several small businesses, including an immigration law firm. I also work for a large NGO in the mental health sector, and am involved in a range of community organisations (with a focus on the arts and music).

Happy to answer what I can, but please keep it civil. Political candidates from all parties receive an unbelievable amount of abusive emails and messages from the general public and I would quite like to discourage that where I can!

Please note that I generally won’t be posting on Neighbourly, rather the best way to stay up to date is by liking my public page: www.facebook.com...

What's your favourite piece of Waikato history?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Car parks inspired a milking shed design that took off around the world and became a piece of Waikato District history.

A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.

Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
