Bellringing Festival to be held in Hamilton

Susan from Maeroa

Hello Everyone
Please see the attached notice about the Australia and New Zealand Association of Bell ringers (ANZAB) Festival which is to be held this Queen's Birthday Weekend.
On Sunday we will be having a striking competition from 12:00 midday to 2:00pm. So the bells will be heard around the city.

We will also be attempting a peal on Monday afternoon. This involves three hours of concentrated ringing. It is the bellringers' equivalent to running a marathon!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
