The Cambridge Edition recently published a story on what is believed to be NZ's oldest Japanese maple tree on Hall St in Cambridge. Information shared with the reporter by the property owner suggested the tree was to be removed by an arborist, via the Waipa District Council. The Hall St … View moreThe Cambridge Edition recently published a story on what is believed to be NZ's oldest Japanese maple tree on Hall St in Cambridge. Information shared with the reporter by the property owner suggested the tree was to be removed by an arborist, via the Waipa District Council. The Hall St property owners were happy for this work to be done by the council, as reported in the story. However it was only one section of the tree which was removed, or "pruned" (see picture). The story has been updated to reflect accurate information provided by the council and the Edition apologises for the error.

Three large gum tree stumps. Several cubic metres each. Free for removal. Will require significant work/cutting to remove (not a job for an unskilled person or standard size chainsaw). Excellent firewood if someone wants to put in the effort to cut and split it. Contact Helen 027 341 2465.
