A plan to enhance Hamilton Zoo is now available for community feedback. Among the ideas included are overnight “glamping” experiences and more direct interactions between visitors and animals. The plan is not funded, and will need to be considered as part of Hamilton City Council’s 2018-2028 10-Year Plan. Visit: hamilton.govt.nz/zooplan. What are your thoughts? This comes as the supply of district nurses lags behind referral increases of more than 100%, leading to staff burn out and an “unprecedented” service failure.
