A plan to enhance Hamilton Zoo is now available for community feedback. Among the ideas included are overnight “glamping” experiences and more direct interactions between visitors and animals. The plan is not funded, and will need to be considered as part of Hamilton City Council’s 2018-2028 10-Year Plan. Visit: hamilton.govt.nz/zooplan. What are your thoughts? Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
