Street upgrades to the Hayes Paddock area are complete, but some locals aren’t convinced they needed to happen.

Meanwhile, regular visitors and walkers are chuffed with the Hamilton East intersection after a $1.2m upgrade funded by the Climate Emergency Response Fund via NZTA.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
