A Hamilton woman was failed on the spot, and told her 'dirty' front seat was a Covid-19 risk.

Letticia Pevy, 38, had held her restricted licence for years but needed her full licence for work.

She went to sit hers at VTNZ Frankton, but was failed as soon as the testing officer opened the passenger door.

Did you know Garden Place was getting another statue?

Earlier in the year, a controversial statue of Captain Hamilton was removed from central Hamilton.

Now, the plan is to replace it with a sculpture of community leader Dame Hilda Ross, which has been in the works for several years.
