It was made from a pair of jeans from an op shop. "All of my gardening clothes come from op shops," she says. "Large men's shirts make good cover-ups to keep sun and insects off my arms. For the apron, start with a smaller size than you would wear so it doesn't wrap around too far. Check that it has a lot of pockets." So tell us if you've got similarly fashionable, exclusive-for-the-garden glad rags, and if yes, why not post a photo in the Reply space too!

So inspired to see a great crowd from the public on the Sunday -well done to all the teens, mums and dads who made it along to see a fantastic array of career option information. The Monday was manic too with buses arriving from schools across the Waikato region. I had some wonderful conversations with kids and young adults from year 7 upwards, as always they were funny, delightful, awesome kiwi kids -so inspiring!

Fantastic to see careers getting such a dialogue in families, schools and the wider community.

Sadly, in the majority of cases, there were things the rider could have done to prevent the crash, “and that breaks my heart”, says Graeme. His solution? “Do some training”. It just might save your life.

If you look around the call centers and similar large companies with lots of people sitting at their desks pushing keyboards all day while answering a few phone calls you will realise a lot of them will have an unhealthy mid-life crisis to worry about. The lack of exercise of normal work today has disappeared and along with processed foods it is leading to a lot of new disease problems which these people and others don't realise is going to hit them bad. When you consider then these same younger generation then go home and play games on computers and consoles this leads to a very troubled lifestyle and it won't improve until they get out and change to an active job instead. An easy life isn't a healthy life and even if you can get wealthy it is no guarantee of a good life. I know a few people not even reached retirement that have got cancer and left their work to go home and enjoy what life they have left which isn't much then. Don't sit about as life is too short to waste it.
