Car for sale

Susan from Chartwell

FOR SALE – Toyota Camry Gracia 2.5L station wagon.
White. Grey interior. Good condition. 1998. Radio, CD, cruise control. Automatic transmission.
WOF until July 2019. Rego until April 2019.
ODO reading is 350,000 but this is incorrect. Claudelands Automotive replaced the entire engine Jan 2018. The new engine had done 176,000km so is 152,479km less than the odometer reading. This engine has now done 197,520km. I have the paperwork from Claudelands Automotive that shows this. They replaced the cambelt in 2016.
It still runs well and has coped brilliantly with my commute to Te Awamutu every day. It is still comfortable to drive and sit in and is easy to handle. Toyotas go on and on, so 200km on this engine means it should have a few years left in it yet. $1,200, but will negotiate.

Price: $1,200

What's your favourite piece of Waikato history?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Car parks inspired a milking shed design that took off around the world and became a piece of Waikato District history.

A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.

Do you think the city needs more affordable housing projects?

The Team Reporter from Hamilton Press

An affordable rental development has been left scrambling to secure funding after it was unexpectly turned down by central government.

Bridge Housing Trust plans to build a 42 apartment complex on the corner of Tristram and Liverpool Streets in Hamilton central over two buildings. The land is being donated by Perry Group, which currently owns both sites.
