Harrowfield Christmas lights
Harrowfield Drive Christmas lights are now turned on and Santa is starting at 17 Harrowfield Drive on the 14th through to Christmas eve, from 8.30pm to 10pm every evening weather permitting. The Lions Club will also be running a sausage sizzle starting the 15th from 8.30pm to 10pm again weather permitting. Come and enjoy the spirit of Christmas and have dinner for very little cost. Vandalism is costing ratepayers - what can be done to better protect our public spaces?
Vandals have repeatedly damaged public amenities across the Waikato District, leaving ratepayers to pick up the bill. So far in 2025, the cost has climbed to nearly $123,000, reports the Waikato Times.
The council is urging residents to report vandalism as soon as possible.
