Whanganui might become training ground for Waikato medical students
The University of Waikato has signed an agreement to explore if Whanganui could become a location for medical school students to do their placements.
The university inked a document on Tuesday with the Whanganui District Council, Health New Zealand and regional health providers to explore the proposal.

Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.
