I was just talking to an unofficial source ( my Mum ) , and apparently due to the Covid regulations regarding booking the 14 day Quarantine Restrictions , Santa mightn't be visiting this year .

'Tragic' head-on crash near Hamilton killed five people
The stretch of highway near Hamilton where five people died in a head-on crash late Tuesday afternoon re-opened about midnight.
The two-vehicle crash is the deadliest since 2022.
It happened on State Highway 3 in Ōhaupō, halfway between Hamilton and Te Awamutu, at 4.44pm on Tuesday.
