LIT: 50 shades in trees is coming up shortly

Alison from Frankton

The Crochet Crew began in 2017 with 45 members sourced from Facebook and Neighbourly who knitted and crocheted a 10 metre by 2.7metre shade sail which hung in the tall pine trees at Hamilton Lake Domain for 5 months.
Later that year, the Pavlova Tree was entered into the Trees at the Meteor,

This year, 7 of the group have crocheted and knitted 50 light shades from acrylic yarn to suspend in the trees in Garden Place during the Fringe Festival, 26 October - 9 November

The light shades will be illuminated at night, and will be for sale at the end of the festival.

Teddy bears wanted

Aaron from Nawton

Hi everyone, we are looking for teddybears in mint/or good condition no rips or stains that people would like to get rid of.
Drop offs can be arranged or pickups near Hamilton area.

These will be used for Christmas toys for hampers for kids who are less fortunate.

We would appreciate any help.

Does anyone recognise this cat?

Natasha from Maeroa

Hi everyone! Does anyone recognise cat from the photo? This cat has been coming to my backyard for the past few days. I can't understand if he is lost or not because every day he is coming, drinking water from the bowl outside and going somewhere but every time he is asking to let him inside. It seems like he is living or used to live in a similar place. He looks good and healthy. He has no tail and wears blue collar with a little bell.
