Volunteers and donations needed!
St John has always had a strong community presence in Hamilton which has recently increased thanks to the opening of a new opportunity shop in Frankton. The local community has rallied behind this venture, supporting it with donations and shop fittings.
Proceeds from items sold in the shop will be used to support St John emergency ambulance services and community programmes such as Health Shuttles, Caring Caller and St John Youth programmes. St John Opportunity Shop is currently recruiting volunteers and seeking donations of items that can be sold in the shop. Donations can be dropped off at 1 Rawhiti Street, Frankton.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
