If you or someone you know is considering a career in this dynamic profession, come along to Ara’s information session at 7pm on 10 July in the medical imaging department at Southland Hospital (Kew Road, Invercargill). You can learn about the profession, the degree, clinical placements and the process for applying to study at Ara (applications for 2019 close on 1 September).

Shooter still hasn't been caught

A 52-year-old is resting in Southland Hospital after he was shot in the lower leg on Saturday. Police are still looking for the offender, but say there is no risk to the public.

Developer deems three buildings "terrifying"

Three buildings in the soon-to-be redeveloped Invercargill CBD block have been described as "quite terrifying" by the man behind the upgrade.

Demolition of the block will begin later in the year to make way for a new inner-city mall.
