Funding to
South Wairarapa District Council has received funding to make Martinborough more welcoming for those socialising and on foot.
The council received $180,000 from the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Innovating Streets Fund to create safe, vibrant and welcoming spaces for socialising, increasing foot traffic and supporting local businesses in Martinborough.
The funding will allow the council to conduct trials and consultation to see what works as a basis for future planning.
