Jars with lids
I'd like to offer my place as a drop-off for people who want glass jars with lids. They could be little or large. A lot of us are making jams or preserves from our fruit and vegetable gardens at the moment. I've been recycling like mad, but lately have been collecting jars for apricot and blackberry jam, and elderberry syrup. Suddenly my stash of jars seems unequal to the task. Anyone out there who would like to participate?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
