Health: Child vs 'Tween" vs Teen vs Adult
The recent post re a new 'Children's Hospital" for Wellington has revealed some very important issues I feel. For example: When is a child no longer a child? WILL THE NEW 'CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL only deal with physiological ailments or include psychological ailments? AND is there a difference between child and adult mental health issues.
All specialised areas - so how is one able to access the most appropriate intervention in a timely manner? Is our health system recognising how widespread these issues are? Is it appropriate for a child to be treated alongside adults?
This is an ideal time to hear from those experiencing difficulties.
GO FOR IT. Your voices need to be heard too.
