Passed away peacefully at Windsorcare Village, aged 95 years. Loved husband of Betty (dec.) and more recently Ailsa (dec.). Loved father and father-in-law of Bill (dec.), Tony and Hazel, Mark and Jo. Treasured grandpa to Nicola and husband Alan, Thomas, Kenneth, Tina and Daryl and great-grandpa to Daniel. A private cremation will be followed by a public celebration of John’s long life on Tuesday, November 1, at John Rhind Funeral Directors, 19 London Street, at 10.00am. No flowers thank you. Peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Christchurch Hospital. Aged 75 years. Loved husband of Frances and loved brother of Carol Kelly and Anne Tindle (both Wellington). Peacefully on Thursday, 20 October 2022 at Hospice Waikato, with family by her side. Beloved partner of the late John Morrison. Age 31. Free after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Much loved daughter of Julie and Brian and sister of Stephen. Loved wife of Jayden. Loved niece of John, and Neil, Nola, and Neil, and the late Roy, Aurelle and Ellona. Much loved by many cousins, and her adopted grandparents Sharron and David Robbie. A service to celebrate Danielle’s life will be held at 1.00pm (AEST) on Tuesday, October 25 at Heritage and Heritage Funerals, Wantirna, Melbourne, with a memorial service held in Invercargill for all her NZ based family and friends at a later date. (Formerly of ANZ Bank). On October 21, 2022 suddenly, but peacefully, at his home, aged 80 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Corrigan), and very much loved Dad of Paul (stillborn), Kerri and Melissa, and Paula and Vicki. Dearly loved son of the late Nancy and Dick Nevin, and loved brother and brother-in-law of David and Gaynor, and a much loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. Pete was a dedicated and respected member of his Church and community.

Gwen died peacefully with her daughters Helen and Heather by her side on Saturday October 22, 2022, at Sacred Heart Home and Hospital, Dunedin. NEWTON, Denis Leonard

Graduated to the great golf club in the sky on 20th October 2022, aged 90 years young. He died peacefully at home surrounded in the love of his family. He is now reunited with the love of his life. Denis lived a full, healthy and happy life until just a couple of months before he passed. Golf enthusiast, cricket mad, artisan wood-turner, supporter and helper at the Naenae Menz Shed, life member of the Wellington Guild of Wood-turners, swimming teacher and coach for many years. A devoted son, brother, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, and a true and loyal friend to many. His children Lynette, Keith and Debby and the wider family would welcome you to his memorial service and celebration of life to be held on Sunday 30th October at 10.00am at the Manor Park Golf Club. Died peacefully at Lorna Home, The Croft, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Loved soulmate and best friend of John (deceased). Adored mother and mother-in-law of Tracy and Roger Hooke (Timaru), and Steven and Kasia Deans (Mexico). Amazing Nana to Grace Hooke (deceased), Lilian, Phoebe and Ursula Deans (UK). Special thanks to the amazing staff at Lorna Home and Talbot Park for the outstanding care they gave Marion during her time there and Dr Ron Griffiths for his many years of dedicated care.
