McKEE, Bede Mark

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, aged 41, after an inspirational life, Bede took his last hard-fought breath. Bede battled valiantly right until the end, and was the strongest person we know. Cherished father of Eva, loved stepfather of Jackson. Beloved son and mate of Mark and the late Trish. Larger than life little brother of Nicola and Paula, and protective big brother of Megan. Revered brother-in-law of Ritchie, Monkey and Gareth. Adored Uncle of Briar, Jessica, Eli, Mackenzie and Wilfie. A loved nephew and cousin.

For those that can’t attend, the service will be recorded and can be viewed on the Cloudy Bay Funeral Services website from Saturday morning.

WAH, Ivan Paul (Paul)

On 24th October 2022, peacefully at home with his family, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Shirley for 64 years. Brother of Esther Fung, Margaret Yung and the late Graham. Dad of Michael, Jeremy and Sarah. Father-in-law of Edwina and Linda. Yer Yer of Max, Amelia, Toby, Penina, Michael-Rita, Ashley and Genevieve. Goong of Lucy and Harry. Tai Yer of Lucius, Kahlo, Michael, Brooke and Noah. Much loved and treasured by us all. Special thanks to Te Omanga Hospice for their wonderful care of Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be greatly appreciated and may be made online or left at the church. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at St James Anglican Church, 71 Woburn Road, Lower Hutt, on Thursday 3rd November at 11.30am, followed by private cremation.

Dearly loved Daughter of Frances and David Bartlett (both dec) (Balclutha). Cherished Big Sister of Elizabeth and David Balloch (Invercargill), Robert and Jennifer Bartlett (Wellington), and Rosemarie and Bill Reynolds (Gore). Stephanie was a dearly loved Auntie, Great-Auntie, Niece, Cousin, and Friend to many and she will be sorely missed by all. Now resting peacefully. We love you dearly Stephanie and will be missing you forever.

Sadly our dear Dad, Koro and Papa John left us to join our Mum, Nanny and his beloved late wife Molly on Monday 24th October 2022, in his 86th year. Loving Dad to Raymond John & Wendy, Paul & Lynley and Myree (Mihi) & Craig Woodhead. Precious and the happiest and most adored Koro of all his mokopuna and great-mokopuna. We already miss your happy face and your cute chuckle.
Deep in our hearts and always treasured.
Dad will be at Tawhitinui Marae and a service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday 27th October at 10.00am after which time Dad will be laid to rest at Taikat Urup.

Peacefully on October 20, 2022 at Bainswood on Victoria, Rangiora. Dearly loved and loving wife of Paul. Loving mother of the late Victoria and Craig; mother-in-law to Steve and grandma to Emily. A special thanks to Wendy for her love and ongoing support, and to Ann’s other carers.

DOUGLAS, Malcolm Neil

Born on May 18, 1970, and passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022, aged 52 years. He was the dearly loved son of Anne and Mel Douglas, loved brother of Jan, loved father of Zac, uncle of Rebecca, brother-in-law of Paul and loving partner of Amy. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses, social workers and staff of the Christchurch Hospital’s ICU for their high quality care of Malcolm. Thanks to the Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village staff and residents for their support over this time, and also to all of Mal’s friends and partner’s families and friends. HOWLETT, Charles Brett (Brett)

On 19 October 2022, aged 60 years, at Waiuku. Brett is survived by his sons Callum and Declan. They along with their mother Susan, thank all those who tried to help Brett, or supported us throughout the difficult years leading toward this inevitable conclusion. Special thanks to Brett’s stepfather George Flavell, and nephews Alex and Dion Winsor from Waiuku, who looked out for Brett despite all that brought with it. A private cremation has been held.
