On Sunday, October 23, 2022, aged 41, after an inspirational life, Bede took his last hard-fought breath. Bede battled valiantly right until the end, and was the strongest person we know. Cherished father of Eva, loved stepfather of Jackson. Beloved son and mate of Mark and the late Trish. Larger than life little brother of Nicola and Paula, and protective big brother of Megan. Revered brother-in-law of Ritchie, Monkey and Gareth. Adored Uncle of Briar, Jessica, Eli, Mackenzie and Wilfie. A loved nephew and cousin.

On 24th October 2022, peacefully at home with his family, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Shirley for 64 years. Brother of Esther Fung, Margaret Yung and the late Graham. Dad of Michael, Jeremy and Sarah. Father-in-law of Edwina and Linda. Yer Yer of Max, Amelia, Toby, Penina, Michael-Rita, Ashley and Genevieve. Goong of Lucy and Harry. Born on May 18, 1970, and passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022, aged 52 years. He was the dearly loved son of Anne and Mel Douglas, loved brother of Jan, loved father of Zac, uncle of Rebecca, brother-in-law of Paul and loving partner of Amy. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses, social workers and staff of the Christchurch Hospital’s ICU for their high quality care of Malcolm.
