Peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, aged 91 years, in the care of family, the wonderful staff of Hospice South Canterbury, and Heath the hospice cat. Dearly loved wife of the late Chris. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Katrina and Richard, Anne and the late Remi (France), and the late Stephen. Loved Nana of Whitney (Canada). Loved by many whose lives she had touched. Special thanks to her carers from Presbyterian Support who gave her valued independence. A service for Nancy will be held at St Stephens Presbyterian Church, 349 Wai-iti Road, Timaru, on Friday, November 4, at 11.00am, thereafter interment at the Timaru Cemetery. Passed away suddenly at home, on Thursday 20th October. Beloved husband of Carolyn for 56 years. Darling dad of Grant, Sue and Rachael; much loved father-in-law of Anna, Geoff and David. Loved and cherished Poppa and mentor of Emilie, Christopher, Mitchell, Jesse, Leo, Toby and Seb.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday 10th November 2022, 1.00pm at Hamilton Gardens Pavilion, Cobham Drive, Hamilton, to remember this remarkable man. All welcome. Lorna passed away at Southland Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a Southland sporting champion and legend to her family, Karen Eruera and Colin Millar, Lynne and John Gibbs, Shayne Hitchcock and Marion de Groot, Dale Varcoe and Scott Inglis, Ian Sinclair, Boy Eruera, Karen Hitchcock and the late Peter Varcoe. Loved Gma and Great-Gma of all her grandchildren and great-grandchild. A small celebration of Lorna’s life will be held at the Invercargill Golf Course, 190 Dunns Rd, Invercargill, on October 24, 2022 commencing at 2.00pm. Passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, aged 86, after a sudden illness. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Christchurch Hospital. Loved by so many, but especially beloved wife of John; loved sister of Ngaire and her loved brothers Rex and the late Bruce; loved mother of Gary, Karen and Nicola; loved mother-in-law of Anne, Richard and Robert; loved and very special Nana to Sam, Olivia, Emma and Grace, and life-long friend of Jenny.
