What do you think of the proposed Rodney targeted rate?
Last week the targeted transport rate recommendation was passed and put in the hands of the Governing Body to make the final decision on whether Rodney ratepayers will be required to pay a rate of $150 or $2.90 per week to get transport projects off the ground.
A planned $46 million would be raised over 10 years and would to go towards things like park and ride facilities, footpaths and sealing roads, this is alongside the Auckland Transport Regional Land Transport Plan.
What do you think of this? and what would you like to see happen with the $46 million?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
