Tomorrow at St Andrew's Anglican Church in Pukekohe, (corner of Queen and Wesley St) at 3pm the Church bell will be rung 50 times, once for each person tragically killed in Christchurch last Friday.
Other churches throughout our country have also been invited to ring their bells as we remember the events that shocked our country.
Following careful discussion with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet who are representing those Government agencies working with the Christchurch Muslim community, 3pm was chosen for this memorial
This is to occur between the broadcast Call to Prayer starting at 1.30 pm follo2 minutes silence at 1.32 and funerals of victims which are to take place at 4.00 pm tomorrow.
If there are members of the Muslim community or anyone else who would like to join us for the bell ringing you would be most welcome.
This would also be a good time to come in and light a memorial candle.
The church will be open all day for candle lighting.
ALL ARE WELCOME
