We are looking forward to kicking off on Friday 12th June with the amazing Jackie Clarke and a couple of more shows after that.

I’m sure we are all pleased that our lives can turn back to normal, what ever that means for you. But we are also aware that it was a very stressful time for everyone, and that some are still a bit hesitant to go about their normal lives.

Take your time, stay safe and stay warm.

There were many changes in Acacia Cove Village since the lock-down, as it was our priority to keep everyone safe. We even set up a little “shop” so our residents didn’t have to go out shopping.

I am sure we are all very grateful to be able to move around more freely and join in some of the activities Acacia Cove has to offer. It can be a bit tricky to keep the numbers to 10 or less, and social distancing is hard to do.

However, after some brainstorming, we came up with and implemented some basic strategies to help everyone to adhere to the rules.

From the village manager, Bruce Cullington, staff and Acacia Cove Residents, we would like to wish you well, and thank you for the part you played to keep our community safe.

The Acacia Cove Residents had a wonderful Hawaiian Evening the end of January and after having a scrumptious meal, they danced the night away!

As some of you will know, we started construction on two new villas towards the end of last year. They are finished now, and the new residents have moved in and are enjoying all Acacia Cove has to offer.

These kids, aged between 13 and 15, are talented beyond belief and it was amazing to see them in action. Not only are they very good at playing various instruments, there were a few amazing vocal performances too.

Both our Residents and our Manager, Bruce Cullington was very impressed. Well done to Musical Director Joseph Allan and thank you for bringing the kids to Acacia Cove.

We would love to see them again.

Our latest nonagenarian’s population has grown, and it was amazing to see how well they are all doing. Our lovely guests were spoilt with gifts from Acacia Cove and the Residents’ Committee.

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, reminisces and a lovely two course meal.

As you probably know, the latest addition to our lovely Village, five brand new apartments, were completed last month.

However, here at Acacia Cove we like to keep thinks interesting, so we decided to build two new Villas.

Construction on these started recently, and if all goes well, it should be completed before the end of the year.
