Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel is asking staff if they can reduce the level of chlorine in the water supply following widespread dissatisfaction.
Residents have complained online, in print, to radio and TV programmes, about the taste and smell of tap water as well as citing worsening skin and eye irritations.
