My son discovered today that although his Dosh account had been set up on the Tertiary package, it had been converted to a Prize Draw Saver acct (paying 0.25%) and had fees charged to it. All sorted now.

According to Orion's website approximately 50,000 properties had no power on Thursday morning.
Power outages have been reported at many suburbs including Addington, Cashmere, Spreydon, Riccarton, Sydenham, Hoon Hay Valley, Wigram, Tai Tapu, Sockburn, Westmorland, Wigram and Akaroa.
The New Zealand Transport Authority said signals at 35 intersections were out in south Christchurch as a result of the outage. Road users were asked to apply the give way rules.
An Orion spokeswoman said
the power outage was caused by an issue in the Transpower line from Twizel. Transpower manage the national electricity grid.
A crash involving four vehicles happened the intersection of Marshland Rd and Prestons Rd. An Ambulance was declined but NZTA advised motorists that delays were possible.

Lunchtime meeting - 12 - 1.30pm
Evening Meeting 7.30 - 9pm
Halswell Community Project are excited to be facilitating the Halswell Liaison Group this year and are looking to develop a group of people representing the Halswell community who can respond collectively to issues and events that occur - such as issues around transport or events like the recent fires - as well as developing strong community networks and sharing information and ideas.
For this approach to be successful we need to form a group that will meet regularly to discuss and action key issues and develop the networks required for a community led focus.
We would like to hear from local residents, groups, organisations and clubs who would be keen to join us in this venture and invite you to join us on Thursday 16th March to explore and dream about what might be.
There will be 2 meetings as we want to hear from as many people /groups as possible. We will discuss what a community led development model looks like, brainstorm ideas - what people want from the meeting, what they would like to see in Halswell if resources were not a barrier, the issues they see and of course times and frequency of meetings going forward. There will also be a time for sharing hopes and dreams for our community.
You can register your interest using the link below or by contacting Kate on halswell.comm@gmail.com or 0204 127 6083 or just turn up on the day/night.
