Two steam engines head out of Christchurch Railway Station on their way to the Montreal Crossing during the two-hour Steam Cavalcade in Christchurch on October 24, 1988. More than 30 steam locomotives took part in the cavalcade, which marked the 125th anniversary of public railways New Zealand.

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
