Thank you so much to everyone who came down to our Quiz Night with Canterbury Rugby last night. With close to 50 teams entered and multiple Canterbury Rugby players, coaches and team members in attendance, the Papanui Club was packed and there was not an empty seat in the house.


We had an awesome night and would like to thank everyone who came along. We are very proud to say that we raised $714 for The Christchurch Kidney Society on the night.

“It is so lovely to have support in our community to raise much needed funds and create awareness of kidney disease.” Says Jo Houghton, The Christchurch Kidney Society Manager. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
