Your computer’s RAM determines how many things it can think about at the same time. If it's too little, the computer starts using a much slower method to fulfil its memory needs. You’ll notice if it has too little RAM if it gets rather slow when you have a few things open at the same time. So...how's your RAM?

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
