Urgent Accommodation Needed

John from Spreydon

Accommodation is urgently needed for a young man from overseas in Christchurch for several surgeries starting this week. He is accompanied by his mother and older brother, and previous plans have fallen through. The home would need to have 2 bedrooms available. Ideally, it would be needed for around 12 months as there will be two surgeries, each needing 6 months rehabilitation. However, short-term would be okay as a stop-gap.
The family are quietly spoken, and can give references. Somewhere on the north side of the city would be helpful, but anything will be considered. If you can help, or recommend a contact, please contact me at 022 384 7466.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
