Animal owner experience of the February 2017 Port Hill Fires
Posting for Hayley Squance who is a post grad student at Massey University.
Below is a link to an online survey targeting animal owners who live in or near the areas that were affected by the Port Hill Fires which should take 10 minutes to complete.
The aim of the survey is to understand animal owners risk perception of wildfire before the event, preparedness measures, what resources they have to evacuate animals, actions they took during the event and how they and their animals may have been affected. The results of this survey will help to inform recommendations for enhancing multi-agency collaboration for animal welfare emergency management in relation to wildfires throughout New Zealand.
