Over the lifetime of a standard mortgage you will very likely pay as much or more interest than the amount you actually borrow but by using standard bank tools, it is possible to halve the cost of the interest charged on your mortgage even for those on a modest income?
Money not spent on mortgage interest increases your cash flow and enables you to pay off your debt much sooner than you could have dreamt.
The Halswell Community Project has asked Linda Hart to come and talk to us about mortgages and the different ways in which they are, and can be structured.
Linda has 14 years’ experience helping people to reduce their debt. She is happy to share her knowledge and answer questions. If the concept interests people, she offers a further free consultation and analysis of your personal mortgage situation , so you can assess whether you want to use her assistance and see a brighter future. The summer break is the perfect time to relax with a book or two (or three or four…). And, of course, books make excellent gifts. There is still time to come in and find the perfect read for you or someone else.
You will find us in the basement rooms of Cashmere Presbyterian Church (entry via the driveway for 58 Dyers Pass Road)
Our Christmas hours are:
Monday 22nd December, 10am – 3pm
Wednesday 24th December, 10am – 12noon
Friday 26th December (Boxing Day), 10am – 1pm (last day for the year).
We will reopen with our usual hours on Thursday 8th January 2026
