Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

Christchurch mayor Lianne Dalziel has fought the mood for change and the right to lead the city council for another three years.

Dalziel romped home with a clear majority of more than 16,000 after receiving 44,811 votes in the 2019 local body elections.

Her closest rival, businessman Darryll Park, gained 28,260 votes while veteran activist John Minto was third with 8739 votes.
