- Saturday 9 Feb, 10.30~11.15 am. An opportunity to hear Christchurch Symphony Orchestra at Bishopdale Library. FREE event.
- Saturday 23 Feb, 12~4 pm. Culture Galore. Ray Blank Park
- Monday 4 March: The Fendalton Library and Service Centre building is closed for improvements from Monday 4 March 2019, and is scheduled to reopen on Monday 29 July 2019.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
