Canterbury petrol prices higher than other NZ cities
A recent spike in Christchurch petrol prices has highlighted the lack of petrol price competition in the city.
Christchurch motorists took a significantly bigger hit than those in North Island cities when international crude oil prices jumped during May and June, new data shows.
Infometrics economist Gareth Kiernan says with fewer discount stations, South Island motorists are more exposed the brunt of such price hikes.

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
