Collection at Halswell New World this saturday 24/04/2021
Cat Rescue are having a collection at Halswell New World this Saturday 24/04/2021 from 9.00-5.00
We will have eftpos for the first time, if you would like to make a donation but do not have cash.
We have cards to the value of $5, $10 and $20 if you are thinking of a cool present to give to your mother for mothers day. She will get a voucher to say she has donated to our amazing cause.
We take cash donations and donations of cat food (tins of smelly food for trapping (usually the cheap fishy version) and cat/kitten sachets and biscuits)
We take donations of kitty litter
We take donations of paper towels, washing powder and disinfectant and cleaning products.
We also just love to take cat stories and share photo's of our fur babies and yours (via phone photo's)..........lol
Hope to see you if you are in the area.
If I have not posted in an area close to the supermarket and you know a cat lover that would support use, please give them a bell and tell them we are down there tomorrow. I am not sure if I have covered the likes of Aidianfield nor Halswell as those names did not come up in the area;s to tick.
thank you in anticipation
Regards
Bronwyn

Poll: Pedestrian access is being extended to the Ōtakaro Avon River - good idea?
Pedestrian access from one of Christchurch’s favourite streets is being extended all the way to the Ōtakaro Avon River. This new 12m-wide pathway will give you a direct, easy route from the street to the river promenade ... perfect for a stroll, a coffee run, or just soaking up the riverside vibes.
We want to know: In your view, what makes a city people-friendly?
What else should our urban areas be doing to support better community connections?

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
