Softball season is starting soon. Sydenham Kereru (based at Spreydon Domain) are looking for a few more players for some teams:
Due to an influx of girls, more under-9 t-ball girls are wanted to make a second t-ball team to allow everyone to get more time on the field. (Must be under 9 at 31 December 2019). Also looking for a couple more players for the under-15 boys and under-18 boys teams if anyone is interested. Games played on Saturday mornings (South Hagley Park for t-ball; Mizuno Ballpark in Pages Road for u-15 and u-18 boys teams). No prior experience necessary! Canterbury drivers overestimate their ability and think other road users are the problem, new research shows.
A total of 1460 people from Kaikōura to Waitaki, including 497 from Christchurch, completed an online survey about their driving habits.
Findings showed 42 per cent rated their own driving ability as above average. The same group considered 73 per cent of other drivers to be only average drivers.
