CHURCH FAIR THIS COMING SATURDAY 10am start
The Fair is in the grounds and hall of St Mary’s church Halswell opposite Craythornes plenty of parking opposite the church. It is a cash only market, please bring your own bags. Lots of bargains for young and the not so young. Why not do a bit of Christmas shopping. There is a bouncy castle for the children. Books galore, chocolate wheel, sausage sizzle, home made baking and preserves, an enormous white elephant in the hall, tea and scones, face painting, toys, lucky dips, flowers and plants and so much more. WET OR FINE. SOME WONDERFUL RAFFLE PRIZES TO BE HAD

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
