Canterbury earthquake
Following yesterday's large earthquake in Canterbury we stand in support of the communities affected by the quake, particularly the worst-affected areas of Kaikoura and Hurunui. Our thoughts go out to the friends and relatives who lost loved ones.
We thank our Civil Defence, our volunteers, emergency services, our staff and all our residents for their actions yesterday and the work that will go into repairing the region in the following weeks and months.

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
